A Lesson for Flying Outside the Box and living by God's Divine Power

Discover how thinking outside-the-box unleashes the most innovative and creative ideas—and how it can can change YOUR reality.

By His Divine Power

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“By His divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know Him, the one who called us to Himself by means of His marvelous glory and excellence”
2 Peter 1:3

TODAY’S WORD:
Selah people' and friends whether you realize it or not, God has already given you everything you need to live the life He’s called you to. You don’t need to feel stressed out, worried or afraid. You don’t have to wonder if you’re “good enough” to receive from God because God’s blessing has nothing to do with your performance. He has already blessed you and given you everything you need by His divine power!

Just as the video story of the plane and limits on how we can or will accomplish our goals based on the world are not always limited to the "box" if we follow God's divine life for us. The world’s system tells us to strive, toil and scrape to get what we want. Our culture puts limits on people because of their natural abilities, resources, background or circumstances. But with God, there are no limits! By His divine power, you are equipped, well able and strong. You are covered by His grace and mercy, and you are empowered to do all He has called you to do!

The next time you start thinking “I can’t...” or “I don’t have what it takes or I can't do it like someone else...,” attack those negative thoughts with the truth by declaring, “I have what it takes; I am well able; and I am equipped by His divine power at work in me!” I can do it my way and God will bless it!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father God, thank You for Your power which is at work in me. Thank You for equipping me and calling me according to Your good purpose. Give me Your strength and peace today. I keep my mind stayed on You and not limited by the box the world or other people try to keep me in.

In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Your brother in Christ,
Patrick

Look beneath the Surface

Today's Scripture:
"Look beneath the surface so you can judge correctly." John 7:24

Today's Word:
Selah people' and friends you may have heard that it takes six seconds to make a first impression. Most people don’t realize how many times they look at someone and instantly decide if they’re going to like them or not. The scripture says that man looks at the outward appearance of others while God looks at the heart.

Now you might be thinking, “Of course, God looks at the heart. He’s God. How am I supposed to look at another person’s heart?” You may not exactly know a person’s heart, but as Jesus said in this verse, you can look beneath the surface. You can take time to get to know someone who might look or act differently than you. Don’t just write someone off because they don’t measure up to your standards. You never know how God will use that relationship in your life.

Jesus said, “Whatever you’ve done to the least of these, you’ve done to Me.” In other words, when we make quick judgments about people, it’s as if we are making quick judgments about God. Don’t fall into that trap! Instead, look beneath the surface. Look for the good in others, find some common ground and watch what God will do through the relationships in your life!

Prayer for Today:
Father, help me to look beneath the surface. Help me to see others the way You see them. Show me how to connect with others and be a blessing everywhere I go in Jesus’ name. Amen

Your brother in Christ,
Patrick

STILL STANDING...

2/17/2015

Today's Scripture:

"He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand." Psalm 40:2

Today's Word:

Selah people' and friends all of us can look back at things that should have defeated us. Maybe a broken relstionship or bad break should have taken you down, but look—you’re still standing! That addiction, that partying lifestyle should have killed you, but because of a praying loved one, you're still standing and becoming freer. Or, maybe you lost a loved one. You didn't think you could go on. You thought you'd seen your best days, but God breathed new life into you. He lifted you out of the pit and put a new song in your heart, and here you are today, still standing.

When you go through difficult things, it’s an opportunity to see the goodness of God shine in the darkness. You see Him lift you up, restore you, promote you and heal you. When you have this history with God, you don't get discouraged by every difficulty. You don’t fall apart because of a disappointment. You don’t get upset because people are talking about you.

You know that God brought you through in the past, and He is going to bring you through in the future! Rejoice todaybecause you are still standing and headed to the place of total victory!

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for lifting me out of my difficulty and for helping me stand on solid ground. I trust Your goodness. I know that You are faithful. Help me stay focused on Your victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

In Christ service,
Patrick

WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?

The 10 Rules for Achieving Success Inspirational Video

Simple Truths: Goals - The 10 Rules for Achieving Success Inspirational Video from Sourcebooks Inc on Vimeo.

Achieving a success is like opening a combination lock. You need the correct numbers in the correct right, left, right sequence. This short inspirational video will give you the combination to the lock.

Clearly defined goals allow you to travel toward another horizon that represents the end of one experience and the transition to a new and better existence. The objective is to choose the right goals, and then to create the necessary causes—the effects will follow!

WHAT GOALS HAS GOD CALLED YOU TO?
As you take a moment to reflect on this inspirational video on GOALS let me ask you what has God called you to do? What is He speaking to your heart to make as a goal? Read today's scripture and join me as we contemplate the direction God has on our lives.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, ‘The LORD is with you, O mighty man of valor’ ”

Judges 6:12

TODAY’S WORD:
In scripture, God called Gideon a mighty man of fearless courage. Now Gideon looked around and said, “God couldn’t be talking about me. I come from the poorest family. I’m the least one in my father’s house.” Gideon saw himself as weak, defeated, and not able. But God saw him as strong, confident, and being more than a conqueror.

The question is are we going to believe what God says about us, or are we going to believe what we feel, what we think, or what the circumstances look like? You may feel weak today, but God calls you strong. You may feel like a victim, but God calls you a victor. You may be afraid, but God calls you confident. You may be in debt, God calls you prosperous. You may be sick, God calls you well. You may be addicted, God calls you free. You may feel inadequate, but God calls you well able.

Today, get into agreement with God and begin to make goals based on what God says and not what the world has condemned you with. No matter what the circumstances look like, you've got to dig your heels in and say, “God, I agree with what You call me. I’m free, forgiven and healed in Jesus’ Name!”

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father God, thank You for loving me and calling me Your own. I choose to receive Your Word which is life, health and strength to me. Fill me with Your peace and wisdom. I set my thoughts on You. In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.

Stand Up For Freedom!

Are you ready to declare your independence?
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“You have been set free from sin...”(Romans 6:18)

TODAY’S WORD:

Today in America, we celebrate Independence Day. July 4, 1776 was the day America declared its independence, but the battle for freedom went on until 1783 — seven years later. Even though the people declared their freedom in 1776, they had to stand and fight for many years before the British would accept and recognized the United States of America.

In the same way, we have to declare our freedom and be determined to stand against the opposing forces of darkness in our lives. We have to declare our freedom from addiction, poverty, sickness and lack. We have to stand and fight until we fully experience His freedom and the peace that He has promised.

Selah people' and friends do you know what the early colonists did once they signed the Declaration of Independence? They read it out loud in public. They published it in the newspaper. They spread the word. They continued to declare and celebrate even though they were in the midst of the battle.Today, no matter what battle you may be facing, declare that you are free, stand for freedom, and celebrate your freedom because the victory is on the way!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for setting me free in every area of my life. I declare today that nothing can hold me back. I declare that You have set me free! Thank You for freedom and victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Your brother in Christ,
Patrick

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

"Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you"
(Luke 6:28, NIV).

TODAY’S WORD
I've learned that some people are peace stealers. They feel like it's their calling in life to aggravate you, try to make you look bad, and tell you what you can't do. They'll try to bait you into an argument to get you upset, annoyed and frustrated. But don't take the bait! Nothing is worth losing your peace over. They may think they're getting the best of you, but in the end, God can use that to take you higher. When people come against you, choose to keep your peace. Choose to forgive. Pray for that person because that's how you disarm the enemy against you.

Selah people' and friends scripture says your battle isn't against flesh and blood. In others words, that person isn't your enemy; the accuser—Satan—is your enemy. He's trying to bring division and get you upset. But when you choose to keep peace, when you keep walking in love and keep a smile on your face, you are overcoming his tactics. That's how you win. Join me today, choose peace, choose to walk in love, and choose the victory God has prepared for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for giving me Your peace and strength today. I choose to hold my peace and bless those who come against me. I choose to walk in love and forgiveness so that I can honor You in all that I do. In Jesus' Name. Amen

Patrick

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE
“...Freely you have received; freely give”
(Matthew 10:8, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD

There  are a lot of people who are successful in this world. They’ve accomplished their  goals in the public eye. But being successful isn’t just about what you make  happen for yourself, it’s about what you make happen for others. It’s when you  realize, “God has blessed me not to just sit on my throne and let everybody see  my accomplishments; God has blessed me to be a blessing to others. God has  helped me to win so I can help somebody else win.” In other words, it’s when you  realize, “God helped me overcome this addiction, now I’m going to go find  somebody and help them overcome.” Or, “God has blessed me with a happy family.  I’m going to go find a family that’s struggling and help them get back on  track.” That’s what being successful is  really all about.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Selah people' and friends I challenge you today  look for ways to help others succeed. Reach back and give freely of the talents  and abilities you’ve been given. As you do, you’ll rise up higher and live in  the fullness of the blessing God has prepared for you!

OUR PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father God, thank You for giving me so much. Thank You for blessing me with talents and abilities and the desire to bless others. Show me ways to reach out and help others move forward and help them be successful so we can all rise higher together. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Your brother in Christ,
Patrick
